How would one go about fixing this Fuel Pressure Sensor Wire?
I'm looking for good ideas how to fix this. It's on a 1996 F250 7.3L
I would appreciate if someone has done this job before or can share how they would fix it. Thanks in advance!
Is that the plug for the fuel bowl heater? If so its disconnected because the heater doesnt work any more. Tape it off and be done with it. If you must have it working because you live where the winters are brutal you could do this mod
That is the wire for the fuel restriction sensor. Just leave it unplugged, remove the sensor and replace it with an 1/8" pipe plug. I say this because the sensor WILL start to leak around where the plastic meets the metal, and it is not needed any way. Be careful and don't tighten the pipe too tight, or it will crack the FPR (fuel pressure regulator).
ReBild, I've already been getting the fuel leak on the sensor. That sensor was pretty spendy ~$50 from RockAuto - I suppose I can return the sensor since I didn't use it. Additionally, I didn't know I could do without it and plug it. Thanks for the recommendation!
