I was thinking the same thing about the internet. Whatever did I do without it? Amazing how much we get used to something, and then when it is gone or disabled, even temporarily, it is like living in a cave. LOL

Good Afternoon Everyone.
Jim sometimes I think I need to be in a cave. The world is getting so crazy that I can't understand half of what is going on.
Well, it has finally happened. I am in my own apartment, and I have my laptop connected via Ethernet cable not WiFi!!!! So much faster. And I am the only one on it. Not sharing with 50 other people, (which is interesting because the Vet Plaza only has 23 people at its max, and not everyone has a computer, or phone. Someone is handing out the password when they shouldn't be).
Anyway, I am exhausted, and still somewhat dehydrated, but I am home. It is still a mess in here, but I had to get the laptop online before I do anything else. After all got to keep my priorities straight! Ended up costing me $100 to rent the U-Haul truck instead of $63 like last time, and I even put less miles on it. However, U-Haul pulls the old motel/hotel trick and on the weekends, they charge $29.95 for their trucks instead of $19.95 and they charge 99 cents a mile instead of 59 cents.
Think I will spend the weekend getting everything setup and put where I want it. Also going to have to complain about the back windows. I cannot open the, to get a cross breeze in here. One has no screen, so I am guess they had a window AC in there at one time. However, the other one has a screen, but I still cannot open it. Well check tomorrow to see if it has one of those window locks on it. Anyway I am a happy camper!
Happy Saturday! Im working today, but im not sure how long this job is going to last. I'm more less working under the table - cash & products. She did offer to go the other route, but since she's going through a divorce & finances are tight, I suggested under the table. She suggested the product thing.
Well, time to head out. Have a great Saturday.
Thanks Greg, now comes the fun part. Unpacking, and putting things away. Even though this apartment is not perfect (way too many roaches) it is still good to finally be in my ow place without roommates, or check in/check out rules. And, I don't have to be up and dressed by 8am, although my body is so used to getting up at 6:30am it did this morning. Of course, I retaliated with a 2 and a half hour nap at 2:30pm LOL.
Good Morning Everyone.
Jim glad you got moved OK. I couldn't live by rules of getting up etc. Glad you don't have to anymore. Getting ready for a crazy two weeks. See you guys on the other side.
It wasn't too bad, considering most people in that place are supposedly recovering alcoholics, or drug addicts. There has to be some structure. The rules themselves were not the problem, it was all the drama of the other people living there. Which is one reason why I stayed in my room most the time. Didn't want to deal with it. So, now I am out, and with a steady income, should be able to stay out.
