Newbie 7.3 problems

Thank you to anyone willing to read and share there knowledge on this problem.
I recently purchased a 01 F350 with 7.3. (i've been wanting one for well over 8 years now) My biggest fear has been to get a problem child. Hit that nail on the head it seems.

test drive went great started pulls great, idles nice. When I went to start her up in the morning it was a no go. It cranked and never started. While digging around I found a can of quick start under the seat. My stomach dropped as i do know that this is a NO NO on Diesels.
I was at a loss and gave her a quick shot of the juice. it started up idled fine. I took it into town refilled fuel hit made a few stops. on my last stop it was parked for about 30mins. NO start just crank. Yep bumped with the bad stuff. drove home fine.
Next morning same thing. I tested the ohms and all tested good at 2.0 except one. its currently 80deg I cant see this being an issue. upon my testing I found that the Fuel Injector harness on that Pass side was crumbling, there is about 6 or 7 wires that are exposed at the wires going all the way into the harness.

I dont know if this is my sole problem. I did replace the glow Plug Relay.
I'm scared theres a big problem here. How ever i have been spending the whole day reading and you tubing. I dont want to drop to much money in this truck just yet. But I was thinking that new injectors and harness might save the day. I've been seeing these kits come around for about $1200.
This truck has 155k on the clock assuming theres no funny business going on there.

thanks for reading and even more so for your help.
