The 4by4 lights on dash come on when you start truck but go out when you put it in low the trasfer case goes in low but light still dosnt come on

Welcome to FTE, if the transfer case goes into low but your light does not come on, your encoder might be bad. Do you have anything to read codes or look at the trucks data like AE?

Another way to test would be to swap with a known good shift motor.
