Having an issue with 2002 F250 2V 5.4 misfire.

Started misfiring with no engine light present.

After a while got code of Cyl 7 and 8 misfire.(stored deep in Computer)

Replaced Cyl 7 and 8 - Coil - plug - and injector

Running better but not fixed 100% still a slight misfire with no engine light.

Been going on for sometime now. Here is all that is done.

-All plugs replaced
-Cyl 7 and 8 coil and injectors
-Fuel filter and fuel pump replaced
-Cat converter replaced

Still happening with no engine light - don't know where to look next.

Use the scan tool to check Mode $06 PID$53 TID $01-08 for elevated individual cylinder misfire counts.

Be sure you perform a PCM reset so as to zero out all counts, then test drive it to induce the mild misfire. THEN check the counts.

 

I have a decent craftsman 100 dollar OB2 scanner
How do i perform this test.
