5.4 engine miss or something
I have an 05 fx4 , my engine has reently developed a miss. I changed the (expensive) plugs, the fuel filter and the air filter. Its still there so i am thinking coil packs (real expensive). Does anyone know how to test these. I ohmed them and got everything from .6 to 1.4 on the readings "warm" but all cooled down they all measured .4. any suggestions

They can be "stress" tested if you have the correct tool, few people do. Odds are if one of your COP's (COIL ON PLUG) fails it should set the check engine light on, draw code and you'll know which cylinder is dropping off. If no check engine light (and be sure the bulb still works) you might still have a soft or pending code, check with a scan tool for codes.
