How heavy is TT that you row with your EX? I have a 11.3 GVWR 8500 dry, curious if I have too much trailer . Tow vehicle is 7.3 ex 2wd RAS and a Propride
Hey Joe, I pull an 11,000lb TT with my EX too, we use a Hensley Arrow hitch so our rigs are pretty similar. I have upgrade the suspension to modded X/modded B code springs, rear sway bar, adjustable Rancho shocks, 4.88 gears and 35" tires on '04 Lariat 18" rims. Our combo pulls well and delivers a pretty comfortable towing experience, we are seeing towing tank averages of 8.5 to 9 MPG with a best so far of 9.25 out of the V-10 running Banks headers and 5Star custom tunes.
How has your towing experience been with your setup?
Our Jayco 338RETS and EX loaded up with a bunch of gear and 5 adults onboard.
It's been great, one concern is that mine is a 2wd and you know these hitches sit below the tounge, so I don't have all that much room to the ground. But as far as the towing it does well on flat ground. I am getting ready to test it next weekend in the hills tho. I have ranching shocks,RAS, and a 60 tow tune so I hope I will be good as long as I keep an eye on the gauges. Thats a nice set up you have
Thank you! You combo looks great also. Take your time and get used to how it feels ascending and descending the hills, I frequently will turn OD off on the downhill runs to help control speeds, not sure how that works with the diesels though?
We were down in Charlotte with our rig back in March and it handled all the hills there and back just fine.
