Drill hole into cab for reverse view camera cable?

The plan is to add a wired backup camera to a slide in camper.
The camera cable needs to enter the truck cab somewhere.
Is there an access point in the back of the cab? It needs a hole about the size of a quarter to fit the cable connector through.

The cable cannot be cut - so it means fitting the connector through whatever entry/exit point is used.
Any ideas or others that have done this?

I ran my camera wire the entire way up the frame and through the pre cut opening in the fire wall.

Yes knock out plugs are there . You can rout through one and still have a seal .

I used the plug at the rear of the cab.

There should be 2 one on each side near the bottom by the frame. There should also be 2 larger openings I think are to let air exit the cab when the doors are shut. They are about 3/4 of the way up. I just installed a PopNLock on my truck. I choose to drill a hole just for easy access. If your display is in the dash I would look for one of the openings in the firewall. That way you don't have to take the inside of your truck apart to run wires.

If you eye ball the space between the rear of the cab and the bed of the truck you will be able to get a look as to the location of the plug. Then fold your back seat forward and start pulling loose the interior trim pieces until you locate the plug. Rather than cutting a hole in the plug, make a X shaped slit in the rubber. This will allow you to push the end of the cable thru yet seal around the cable. If you want to add a little silicone to the X slit for water proofing even better yet..

Use a good flashlight if needed to light up the area between the bed and cab. Once you find it you should able to reach up and touch the rubber plug from under the truck.

First look at the outside bottom of the cab between the cab and bed. You'll see the rubber plug.

Now look behind the seat, pulling the carpet away from the cab wall.

I ran my camera wire from the dash, down under the door sill, through the plug and along the frame.

That would be my choice and it would avoid leaks, better.
