I have a family owned 1974 F-250 Camper Special with 67,000 original Kms. It has a 460 in it. i am wondering if anyone here has had issues when getting new exhaust put on. I want to go with duals as opposed to the y pipe single exhaust. My concern is that this is the original exhaust...will they have issues getting the manifolds off? Just want to be prepared...or at least see if I can do anything to help...such as penetrating fluid, etc...thoughts?? Thanks
Anything you can do to avoid a snapped bolt is recommended - yes, penetrating fluid applied over a series of days and days before attempting to turn a bolt (or nut).
And who is "they"? Your boyfriend/husband and uncle?
Hey Silver...thanks for the suggestion...that was something else that was wondering around my head for a while...what size do I go with.. I now know
Jdeshler - I have some wicked exhaust leaks one of which is right where the manifold connects to the motor. I would definitely prefer not to take the risk in removing them but I don't think I have a choice.
