Tailgate pivot
I have a used replacement tailgate and my original pivots that bolt to the pickup bed. There is a significant difference in size between the two. Both the OD and ID are a non-standard size.....To save time rather than making a pair, what have you all used for a bushing?

I have an earlier tail gate as well, I think it is 1947 down to ?. Only difference I found is the tabs for the chain connection are in the middle of the top tube instead of underneath, I am going to move them and make it work.

I fabbed my own lower tailgate roll and I'm using pivots from a mid 80's Ford step side. I fabbed the lower roll of the tailgate from some rigid conduit (3/4" maybe). I then pressed in some pieces of 1/2 steel pipe into the lower roll as a bushing.
