How much Transmission Fluid?

I am going to fire up my freshly rebuilt 460 with a C6 attached to it which also has a fresh rebuild. Im running Brad Penn break in Oil for the engine, but Im curious as to how much transmission fluid to dump into the transmission prior to start up? and once started up how much more? In total how many quarts of Lucas Oil transmission fluid am I going to need. Stock pan BTW.

The book probably calls for type F oil. Did you put any in the TC before install? The transmission and TC will hold 10 to 13 quarts depending on the size of the TC and pan configuration. Put in 6 or so quarts to start then add to the low side of the full mark on the stick. Check again when at temp and top off. Congrats on your new engine and trans!!
