Tire time- I now have 265/75/R15 is 31x10.5x15 an exact replacement? I see tires I want- was told this is the matching spec. I have no lift mods on the Bronco. Are other size options available?
Dutch, the 10.50x31 is indeed a direct replacement for the 265x75. (265mm equals 10.5 in.) You 'might' be able to go up to an 11.50x32. This size will be 1/2 inch wider on each side (at the sidewall center), and 1/2 inch bigger at the tire radius. You can compare the clearances you have now, to see if a larger size will fit. A lot will depend on the wheel type you now have (7.5" wide Ford alloys???)
10.50's are a good compromise. That's what I now have on my Bronco.
Good, thanks... I have stock Ford rims , yes alloy but as to 7.5" I guess? Another post in the Bronco forum said the 10.50 is actually not as tall as the 265, said he did a side by side compare. I dont think the 32 will work I was looking at the clearance ,etc and the from well (down) near the black plastic portionof the bumper is maybe, may-be 1/2".
If it's a 4wd truck, 32/11.5s will fit just fine, but they will rub on the radius arm (those 31s might too). Not a big deal, just don't turn the wheel all the way.
