I left work this week and my truck pop and cut off and restarted sputtered the whole time 25 mph was top speed no power at all its a 1988 f150 302 .. pump sounds weird hum and whine ...above idle 2 to 3 thousand rpms it starts sputtering and popping back thur air filter box.. ive changed map sensor and coil same thing ..I got my fuel pressure gauge back I loaned out to a friend and I have 0 to 10 key on and after spinning over I have 30 to 32 but pump is sounding crazy ...what is a good replacement inline pump besides ford oem I cant see 369.00 or am I missing something else
Ford used Bosch on my 1989.
I first bought a Ford complete assembly (high press. frame rail mount) that came with new shield, wires etc, but was like the price you mentioned.
On my other '89 I bought a Bosch off Rockauto.com, same pump, no shield, had to crimp on new wire ends, etc. and was $79.00.
