I didn't add any oil maybe that has something to do with my luck. To be honest when I recharged with 134a I was really only expecting to get a year or two out of the Ranger but it ran like a champ for seven years and I kind of got attached to it and put a ton of work into a engine, transmission, transfer case and rear axel swap from another truck last winter. And even though it will still freeze me out of the cab on the lowest fan setting at 90° Outside, If I had to do it again I would do a complete change of the AC system

the 134-A does not use the same oil R-12. even if you do not add any oil to the system, it usually does not play well with the improper oil. you have been very lucky dodging the black death bullet!!!
