I got a JY unit a couple of months ago, and am pretty happy with it. I love having torque come up automatically. When you rooted, did you change the rom or do it the hard way? If you changed the ROM, which one did you use? I need to change mine, and was wondering...

amdriven: they do have DVD units available too.
I just ran the root and haven't loaded anything yet. I aim to change the rom though. I HATE the hard coded button bar.
Ok, had some trouble with this unit today that will warrant it to be replaced under warranty. The bluetooth and wifi have both been mysteriously disabled and cannot be repaired. I am opting for a refund to get a different unit that has a physical power button so that I can get it into bootloader mode.
man this was looking like it was going to be a good unit.
did you try a factory reset?
Yeah. It won't reset. Never ending activity circle. Definitely a bad android build and I can't fix it because of the lack of a power button. Its OK. I want to try a different one anyway.
Almost had one ordered, good thing i looked at the rest of the comments. Can i get a splitter and run a bluetooth obd2 to torque pro, and have my scan gauge at the same time? or will they interfere with each other when both reading parameters

ive heard that some spliters work, and some dont.
im going to order one tomorrow and see if i cant get my edge evo and torque app running at the same time.
ill post results.
and also they say your supposed to look for ones that also split "signal"
I've never been able to get a splitter to work. They make em, but some of the gauges stop reading after a hit. I've tried multiple adapters on multiple vehicles and this set up was no different.
I got my radio straight from pumpkin auto in China, and haven't had a problem that I didn't cause.
