I have a 70's era smogger 460 motor that has D2VE-AA heads on it. This is a low compression motor with retarded cam etc. I have a pair of heads from a 429 that are C8VE-E that I would like to use instead. Will the 429 heads be a good replacement? I am concerned about what sort of compression ratio this swap will create. Thanks.
Yes, that is great info for sure. But what I think I may be asking is what affect on compression does going from a 100cc open chamber (smogger) to a 75-77cc chamber have on compression? I think the smog motor is probably down low, like maybe 8.5/1, just guessing.
