Ranger Hubs
A friend has a 1998 Ranger. She has automatic front hubs. Her 4WD is not working and it's possible one or both of the auto hubs has failed. Can the auto hubs be replaced with manual hubs? A local mechanic here said there are no manual hubs for the Ranger. I find this hard to believe as I did this on my 2000 F250 when I lost one of my auto hubs. If it is possible which hub would fit?

I know of no factory or aftermarket manual lockouts for the Ranger, and I have a '98, BTW. I don't think there would be too many Ranger drivers who would want to get out in the mud to lock in the hubs.
