transmission shift solenoid
Hi I have a 1987Bronco and now the overdrive will not activate ive been trying to find someone who knws about this . I did get this off the housing of the trans.(RF-E3SP-7006) can you plz help me with this issue

A 1987 will not have a shift solenoid. It is not an electronic transmission. Since you say it is an overdrive trans it must be an AOD as that was Ford's only overdrive trans in 1987.
The problem is internal to the trans.

Im not much on knowledge with the trans can you explain what my problem may be as far as internal issue thank you for your time I want to get it fixed but I need to get a better understanding of it

You really need someone to look at it and drive it to see what the problem is. Without having the truck here all I can do is guess.
My guess is that either the overdrive servo clip failed, or the overdrive band has failed. Either one will cause your problem.
