Question pcm/tuning questions please read!

so i have a 97 f150 that i did a dohc swap on it runs ok but i need to get it tuned. ive called all the dyno/tuning shops in my area and no one has the right programs to tune my truck. i wanted to put the sct 6600 chip in it so i could delete some things off of it. but since no one has the right programs to do this i was going to try and pull the pcm out of a newer f150 like a 99 would the pcm work or not? has any one done this before?

if you have a better idea please let me know i just want to get some more of the power out of the engine.

the only things done to it are:

fan clutch delete (electric fans added)
cai
exhaust
egr delete
24lb injectors
and because its a dohc i didnt have anything on the original 4.6 to control the imrc plates on the dohc motor i deleted them also

You got yourself into a lot of issues with the swap and the things you've done.
Back yard engineering is a 'bitch'.
The electric fans are ok.
The exhaust likely did not help.
The CAI likely is no improvement.
24 lb injectors are over kill and out of calibration with the Mass Air meter.
Your losing the benefit of the IMRC intake tuning function at low rpm.
EGR delete is not an improvement because and there is software involved in the PCM program that controls it.
If the replacement PCM is out of a vehicle with PATS your sunk again.
None of this is of any help to you but tells you better where your at with the project.
The swap just brought you a lot of hassle and expense to get it to run as you feel it should.
There are shops that could take it on but you have to pay well for it and any parts they would need to change.
For anyone that wants to do swaps, do a lot of research before investing or beginning and finding out it is to difficult to complete satisfactorily complete.
Good luck.
