The middle a/c is not working and to clarify my front top display is out (I took down the display and the little chips appear to need to be re-seated or soldered) so I don't know if that is playing into the whole scheme. Right now the front a/c works, rear back works on floor, but the middle does not blow at all. I have read several posts the mention a TMX(not sure if that is it)? also mention are flapper doors (?) directional doors(?). if anyone knows what if these may be contributing please le me know the location and i will check them. If anyone has hada similar issue please let me know.
Just an update:
Had the EGR delete done (and because mine is an 05 my engine light stays on - yeah) and the SCT computer and oil cooler are next. Also replaced all the injectors and performance has greatly improved.
Thr lie-o-meter has nothing to do with your a/c issue.
What is the middle a/c?
You talking vents out the back of front seat floor mounted console?
Or the 2nd rows ceiling vents?
I've never really figured what the "floor vs ceiling" **** for the rear a/c does. I don't really feel air flow change when changing it.
Others have mentioned directional flapper like doors that can get stuck. I was just wondering where they were located so I could check them.
I am referring to the second row vents. No air (hot or cold) will come out of them. Currently my overhead display is out and waiting for me to resolder the small chips.
I know this is an older post, but did you ever get this resolved? I’m having a hell of a time trying to figure it out! Thank you.

There is foam wrapped around both faces of the diverter door in the rear blower housing, the last 4 I have taken apart the foam has shifted badly due to heat and old sticky on the foam. It would appear that the shifted foam mainly interferes with full air flow to either the ceiling, or the floor. But I guess since it creates a jam of the door operation it may cause diverter motor failure. Or the diverter motor has failed on it's own.
Thank you for the quick response. Would you happen to have a part number, or name of the part that I might need? I searched for diverted motor and rear blower diverter, without too much luck.
I apologize, I knew that as the blend door actuator. I actually replaced both of them in the rear. Still no air in the 2nd row. Air works in the Front and 3rd row.
Doesn't make sense. The ceiling duct is one big spider bubble poorly glued to the top of the headliner. So unless there is something blocking one or more of the register outlets or the branch to the middle (diverter door foam?), they all flow together.
The middle row controls are not active till the master slave control (above rear view mirror) is set to rear, thus allowing fan, temp, and direction of air flow to be controlled from the middle row.
You'll have to do some exploratory testing. Use the master slave control above the rear view mirror, and see if it changes fan speeds, changes temp, and changes airflow from ceiling to floor, then set the master slave to "Rear" and repeat tests on the "Slave" control above the middle row.
