Heating Issue

The heater in my 97 Expy is having some issues. Blows hot up front and cold out of the back of the console for the beat seat people. I havn't had a chance to investigate yet. Anybody have the same problem?

Has it always done this? If so check for floor mat material covering or partially blocking the vent openings, inside the plastic cosmetic cover. That was what I found.

Also make sure that all switches are working correctly in the hot air position, panel and floor positions in the front overhead switches for the rear, the overhead second seat switches.

Let me clearify a little bit. The vents in back of the console for the people in the back seat blows cold while the vents in the dash blow warm. There is a sound coming from the console liike some kind of relay. It has just recently started and the other day I noticed the cold air blowing from the back of the center armrest. Just wondering if this is a common problem and/or how much this is going to run me.
