1997 F-350, 7.3L, RWD, DRW, 134,000 miles, 1 owner, pac brake, seems to run and drive great! Pretty much just going to use it for a trailer hauler for family trips but I' pretty much in love with it!
Hey Black Helmet, welcome to the OBS powerstroke side of the forums. Looks like you found a keeper. Stick around there is a lot of knowledge over here. Just a word of worning, these guys really like to help you spend you money! LOL
Thanks guys! I'll be looking for some turbo-back exhaust and a programmer soon - you can find me reading away on FTE
I actually found this guy on a local car lot, it had been there for too long and was close to going to auction so I was able to make a cash deal with them. The original owner logged every trip, and maintenance session meticulously which has been a real joy to look through! It's pretty neat to own something someone else obviously cared for so much. It even had the original build sheet in the glove box!!
Just don't buy edge, bully dog crap for it. Do a ts style chip ,hydra,or dp tunerstyle chips. Tuners that rewrite the pcm ddon't work out well at all on these. If future mods are a possibility do a hydra. Emailed tunes are deff the way to go!!! Do your homework BEFORE wasting money on bad mods.
Hey guys, I got so excited about the new truck I neglected to share a bit about myself!
I'm Mike, and have been a Ford fan since.....well pretty much my whole life. Were a Ford family. This is however my first Ford diesel! It all started with the camp trailer, and snowballed into finding a larger truck.
I work in the utility (electrical) industry and have 2 little boys. I look forward to getting to know more about these trucks, and all of you!
I will shoot some more and better quality pictures tonight
Does it actually say DRW in the build sheet? Nice truck btw
It does! And thank you Also, for giggles...... Sticker price was $33,000. Man, that would be awesome if it was current LOL
Here are a couple from this weekend hauling my Springdale TT (7.5k GVWR) it pulled it like a champ with me, the wife, both kids and all our gear. AC blasting the whole way (actually had to turn it down a bit I was getting cold) through some fairly steep hills and hairpin curves in 100+ weather both ways. I think I'm falling more and more in love with this truck.
A quick update on this one, jut finished the 3" downpipe and 4" exhaust install. Lost the muffler and cat while I was at it. A lot of work, but worth it!
