Van Swap
I know this has been said but I'm confused. I have a 1990 7.3 idi e4od e350 van. I plan on putting the engine in my new 84 f250 6.9 4x4 c6. I've heard the drivers side exhaust manifold needs changed. Heard the fuel filter is different don't see why that would matter though. One person suggested I use 6.9 glow plugs. Wouldn't I be using 7.3 controller though? I will be using 6.9 harness. Tell me what I have to change. thanks!

I believe the oil filter mount is a different angle between the trucks and vans, meaning you'll have to swap the oil cooler as well.
7.3 glow system (newer style) is better, might need to modify the wiring harness if you use the 6.9 harness, why not use the 7.3 harness?

The 7.3 harness is in bad shape and 6.9 is decent. Is it normal after 5 minutes the upper radiator hose is hard. The engine temp light is on constantly the Guage is below cold. There is no bubbles in radiator.
