Another truck got too close to me and clipped my mirror. I believe my only option is to replace the whole unit. Looks like over $800 at the stealership. Hoping someone here might have better news for me?
As long as the mirror works ok, might be cheaper than your deductible to buy the parts and install them yourself. Might fine it a little cheaper on eBay with free shipping and no tax.
These can be found on EBay too. I thought that a new mirror at the dealership was more than a thousand.
Plenty of online Ford dealers selling parts at a discount. When I was not paying attention and broke my mirror on my 2007, F150, I replaced it myself. Found a video online. Easy enough to do.
Although you can find these used, this is an item that seems to wear. I would replace with new, but that's me.
Thanks everyone. Since I have a camping trip coming up soon I didn't want to wait for online delivery and went to the local stealership. I was lucky enough that they had one in stock. $154. Snapped right in and back in business. I know I could've found one online cheaper but I needed it ASAP. towing a 34 foot fiver without drivers side mirror for 400 miles would suck.
