Emissions light!
Friday, while driving home from work, my truck's emissions light came on!
The truck has 184,850 miles and as far as I know, this is the 1st time it has ever been illuminated.

Thanks, Chris! I remembered this thread [especially the "implied" part], but did not find it.
What I find interesting is that the ~60,000 mile interval is mentioned and yet the module is in no way connected to anything that can monitor mileage. This should be the 3rd time for my truck. My son's 1984 F150 with 4.9L engine, which we purchased from the original owner with 76,000 miles and it now has 220+K, has never had the emissions light come on even though it still lights for 3-5 seconds each time the engine is started.
Now, I will attempt to locate the module and reset. Thanks again!

Hey, that's a great thread. I remember when Dad bought his '85 back in 1991 it came with an emissions light override already installed, aka electrical tape.
