Well I've searched every pick-a-part and web site I can find and I've had no luck finding a mounting bracket for the p/s pump I want to install in my 1975 300/6. It's the older Thompson metal pump. I have decided my only option may be to have one made. But I can't even find a good photo or drawing of the thing. Anyone have one they can share?
What did you do for lines? The lines from that '82 pump wouldn't work with your '69 steering gear would they? Wouldn't they be shorter (because of the re-positioning of the steering gear after '78?) And the pressure line from your older steering gear wouldn't fit the C2 pump, right?

You are correct, sir.
My truck had manual steering and drum brakes in the front, until recently.
My truck is a short bed '69 F100. My C2 PS pump setup came from an '82 Ford Pickup. The PS gear box is a Saginaw unit that came from a '78 F150. The tilt steering column came from a '78 F150. The front disc brake suspension came from a '77 F100.
I got the new PS pressure and return lines from NAPA. I specified the lines for a '79 F150 with a 300.
I don't know what your current water pump pulley and harmonic balancer configuration is but, my '69 240 had a single groove water pump pulley and a 2 groove harmonic balancer.
I changed my 2 groove harmonic balancer out for a new 3 groove balancer. When I went to put the 3 groove water pump pulley on, it bottomed out against the water pump casting and would not seat.
After some research, I found out there were two different shaft lengths on the 240/300s. The short shaft version is 3-5/8". The longer version is 4-5/16". After I put the new water pump on (with the longer shaft), the 3 groove water pump pulley bolted right up.
That makes sense. The '79 lines would have fit the C2 pump and been the right shape and length for the '78 gear. I have the pump, lines and gear from a '76 and, while I may go with a C2 pump eventually if I come across one, I'd like to get a bracket so I can use my Thompson pump and lines in the meantime. Thanks for the info, it's been helpful.

Glad to help. ....also, the Ford C-2 PS pump was in use from 1978 though about 2003. Brackets and engine applications varied but, the pump was the same. --there's also a C-2 pump version that has two return line ports for the use with a hydroboost brake system.

That's good to know. I actually have a line on a pump and bracket from a '92 300/6. I haven't actually seen it but the pic of a 92 I looked at appeared to have the pulley for a serpentine belt setup. I wonder if I'd be able to just swap a regular V belt pulley onto it an make it work. By the way, my truck doesn't have AC. It does have a double water pump pulley and a triple frank pulley. Thanks again

'87-'96 4.9L (fuel injected 300) PS brackets/pulley won't do you any good --unless you plan to swap everything over to the serpentine system.
If you do add A/C later on, you'll need the 3-groove water pump pulley.

Left lower in pic, bracket bolts to the front of the pump.
