04 steering gear issue
I replaced the steering gear on 04 f350 6.0 4x4 (has a lift kit). I made sure the wheels were straight before I started then used the seat belt to keep the steering wheel from moving. After the install the steering wheel had to be turned a bit to get the steer shaft to align with the flat in the input. No big deal Ill adjust it at the drag link. If I adjust the wheel to center it turns more in ine direction than the other. If I adjust the pitman arm to center the steering wheel is upside down. There is only one way the steering shaft can go on with the clamp bolt lined up with the flat spot....right?
