Steering wheel was way WAY out of align after I changed power steering gear (like 90 degrees). Alignment and addition of totally missing right side radius arm bushings left it out of alignment with steering wheel top at about the "two o'clock" position to the right.
Pitman arm has skinny and fat splines so I cannot just shift it slightly only in large moves. These appear to be to large.
Pulled the steering wheel and found that the damn thing is keyed instead of splined!
Any suggestion on how to get the steering wheel straight again? Daughter is trying to learn to drive and keeps swerving INTO traffic!
Under hood the shaft to steering gear connection is D shaped. Moving up the shaft towards the firewall, the next connection (right above the rubber thing) is square. Is there another connection inside the cab, between the firewall and the actual steering wheel?
Can the steering gear be adjusted? Looks there is an adjuster on top of it.
