I have a 02 7.3 . I replace both battery and now check engine light is on . Ran it for a few days light still on . Took it down and had it scanned and no codes old or new . So I'm at a loss
If the light is on, there are codes. If you had it scanned at a parts store, there's a high likelihood their scanner can't read the proprietary codes in the PCM. You need to use a scanner that's compatible.

Or with your android device download and use Torque Pro. If you changed batteries, you have a stored KAM code there for sure, you might also have some other small codes.
The only place torque falls short is the P1316 (IDM) code which needs a Buzz test for the actual codes in the IDM. Nevertheless a code reader needs to be in your future.
Ok there was no light on before at all have had truck for 8 years and not a prob . Replace them and now it's on so just looking for a few ideas to check
If you post where you live there might be a member nearby with a scanner that will work on these trucks, most of us use AutoEnginuity and Torque Pro and there are a few members out there with the high end ones.
