Rezz Find...

So picked up this AZ rust free example of a Fridge, My first old school Ford... Runs great and drives decent but brakes are sketchy, I have searched alot threads and never got a clear answer on a front disk conversion, I found ECIs kit, But not sure on what master cylinder, booster ect to use... The truck has the 4spd manual, any guidance is appreciated...

Speedy has a kit for 280.00. GM calipers and no backing plate. Get a 68 up dual master local and an adj. proportioning valve off ebay 30.00. speedy has a good king pin set also. good luck

i'm assuming the 68-up Master would be from another Ford?

Yes. f 150 series,I believe the one I just did was a 68 to 70 manual brake, don't use the rod from the box.much too long.the original rod has an eccentric bolt on the end and it will adjust approx. .750 total. If you can't double flare now will be the time to learn.it's easy. The kit from speedway has good bearings, dust cap, pads are organic. Only problem you may have is having the correct master cyl. fittings on hand, the one I just did had two large ports same size, the box gives you one.get another. good luck

Nice looking truck. I am also looking to make the disc brake conversion on my 55 350 and having a hard time finding what I need. We both may be forced to scrounge parts

No F150's until 1975.

Disc brakes introduced in 1973 F100 2WD. 1973/79 F100 2WD: Manual disc brakes were standard equipment, power disc brakes were optional.
