Hey all, I've been on the long journey of building a 445 stroker to mate to a Toploader and drop in my '65 F100.
I was trying to mate my trans and engine last night, and since the alignment tool was wrong, I attempted the more pita way if leaving the pressure plate lose and wiggling the clutch on the shaft.
In doing this I decided to throw the trans in a gear and pop the driveshaft in so I could spin gears and help my chances of lining up the splines.
This is where I learned my slip yoke won't go on the output shaft. The one I'm using was originally used on a c6, do they not match up? I also have one for a 3 speed 3.03 toploader style trans around.
When I say it won't engage, it won't go on at all, like the yoke itselfbis the wrong diameter! Any thoughts? This should be my last hurtle to jump before going back into the truck.
