Engine issues when hauling. Help

When ever I seem to hook up a trailer, whether its emptynor loaded. My engine seems to be making a sound different then it normally does. Its hard to describe. Almost like I have no turbo but yet my boast says 2-3 on my gauge. My engine isnt over heating. What can be the problem. It does it with the tow/haul on and off.

If your hauling and only pulling 2-3 psi ... I'd be shocked. My truck will pull 2-3 lbs boost while empty on a flat highway at 55 mph. And any hill at all will put it at 7-11 lbs.

Ok so your saying maybe theres something wrong with my turbo and im not getting enough power?

Turbo, or CAC system. There are a number of rubber boots that attach the pipes to the intercooler and turbo. One could have blown off or cracked.

What tune do you have on it?
Thats about what mine runs for boost, but I have the actuator disconnected so the vanes are wide open.
