If you step on the throttle and the truck moves out of it's own way, if you've got a boost gauge and it reads 28psi with your foot into the throttle when you're on the freeway onramp, if you can hear something like a small jet engine 'whir' emitting from the exhaust when you ease into the throttle from say, 1,400-2,200rpm, then your Turbo is working fine.
If you enjoy the way the truck puts you back in the seat when you're accellorating, or when you're towing a 10,000 pound trailer up a 7% grade up some highway pass in the Rockies still holding the speed limit, then your Turbo must be workin fine.

OK, all kidding aside, a complete description of the symptoms would bring more precise answers from forum members. A cracked pickup tube in the tank could lead to this, but there are several other possibilities.
