So last time I was at my dealer, they were able to make it to where my interior lights no longer come on when the doors open (at my request). I thought it would be an option to have the lights come on, or not come on with the door. I guess ford decides to have one or the other. In hind sight, I prefer to just have them on. Now that I am deleted, will they be able to change it back, or will that mess up my tunes? If anyone else had this done, is there a work around I don't know about? Thanks.
Its not a fuse because I can turn it on by pressing the dimmer switch for a second or so. They call it law enforcement lighting or something. When I asked them to do it, I thought it would be my discretion to use it like normal, or to black the interior lights out when wanted. That is not the case. They are always off, unless I turn them on manually. Which sucks when you want to grab your stuff and go in, without waiting for all the kids to get out, close their doors, etc, just so you can turn them back off.
It is an "option" that can be turned on and off in the BCM. You would need a Ford VCM/IDS or similar device and software to access the BCM to change the lighting selection. It is in similar section of options as turning on or off the daytime running lights.

That makes sense. So if I take my truck back to him, I shouldn't have to worry about removing my tuner first?
If I took my truck back, I would specify that anything besides what you are asking them to do that they notify you first. Sometimes dealers install computer tsb's without asking or notifying the owner...you can go to the Ford owner's website and enter your VIN to see it there are any recalls....
Is that what is also called "dark mode"
I want to turn off the exterior lights when doors open but want interior lights to operate with the doors. Is that possible?
...Just strokin that's why I haven't returned to the dealer
I don't need them doing me any "favors" I have 2 or 3 customer satisfaction recalls so far I haven't done
Thanks in advance

I think he called it like police mode or something like that. I know it had a law enforcement reference. Not sure about what else is/isn't possible.
