f150 5 speed help!
Hey new to the forum. I recently purchased a 1990 f150, with a 5 speed. I pulled the transmission out yesterday because it only had 4th gear. I can't find any cheap 5 speeds to put back in. What transmissions that Ford makes will go in without a problem? P.s. it's a 4 wheel drive. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks!

Another M5OD will fit with no mods. Cheapest and fastest way to go. A car 5 speed or a truck 2wd will not work without major modifications. A ZF 5 speed from a F250/350 is a popular swap but that requires more parts and they are pricey.
