interchanging 4 speed to 5 speed

interchanging 4 speed to 5 speed
Hi, I am new to this and hopefully it will be good to me. I have a 1983 Ford F-250 4x4 with the 6.9 diesel and 4 speed transmission. I am wanting to change the transmission to a 5 speed but I cant seem to find out what will interchange on this set up. I did the automatic equivalent of this upgrade, C6 to E4OD, but the 4 speed to 5 speed swap is more common, though overall still not very common.
The transmission you want is the ZF 5 speed from a 1987 and up F250/F350, the transfer case should change over, drive shaft will need to be shortened, and I'm not sure about the flywheel or the clutch hydraulics. CheeperJeeper is a member who did this swap.
