hard to keep steady speed
My son bought a 97 F250 and I have been helping him "go through" the truck. When driving the truck the throttle seems erratic. It accelerates fine but when trying to cruise at a steady speed the throttle seems jerky. You hold it at a steady speed and its like you are tapping the gas pedal. We have fresh synthetic oil in and have already replaced the IPR valve to cure a chugging at cold start. I am thinking maybe its the throttle position sensor? Thanks

TPS test.
Set multiple meter to ohms
Hot to middle wire of TPS (trough back side of plug)
Ground to chassis ground
Key in run position
Very slowly press go pedal watching for dead/erratic spots
