tailight wire colors? 03 E250
I've got the bulbs and resistors from SuperbrightLEDs for the tailights.
However, there are no instructions as to which wire is the Brake/Turnsignal and ground?
I've got one side taken apart... I have a brown wire, a black wire, and an orange with blue stripe.
Does anyone know for sure which is which?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

You need to get yourself and EVTM like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-Ford-E-150-E-250-E-350-Van-Wiring-Diagrams-Electrical-Service-Shop-Manual-/391118655151?hash=item5b107d0eaf&vxp=mtr
In the short term though my own EVTM shows a light green/orange wire for left rear, orange/light blue for right rear stop turn etc. Black/Pink for reverse.
You might also be able to download a free schematic for your year chassis from AutoZone.

Great, thanks
Much appreciated.
fwiw - Our van has an absolute cluster-@#%&*@ for the electrical system - between the Elk "luxury conversion", the RollX "mobility conversion", and other untold/unknown previous owner modifications - there is no documentation of what was added and/or removed This is an impressive vehicle [from Ford], but the conversions have left us with a real mess.
Much appreciated.

I don't want to make any assumptions here on your ability or level of knowledge, but, if you have or could borrow a DVM (digital volt meter), or even an analog one and have the ability to interpret the readings, it could be your best friend and would tell you exactly what each one of those wires does. I don't always count on wiring diagrams which have been wrong too many times and I analyze all wiring with the meter first before any mistakes are made or fuses blown unnecessarily. I would be glad to give you specifics by pm. It would not take long at all to figure out what's what.

Thanks for the offer. I do have a multimeter (and understand just a little), but didn't need to resort to that today. I was pretty sure of the colors, the post from JWA was spot on
For anyone's future reference, the brown is the running light and the black is the ground [on this van].
The installation is now complete, and everything is working
I was not thrilled with the whole resistor scheme, but the kit from SuperbrightLEDs made it pretty simple, and there was plenty of space behind the tailight for mounting.
I'll see how the new bulbs look in the daylight over the weekend.
