Hey all,
I'm new to the forum but I have a 1976 highboy that I'm trying to replace the turn signal switch but there is a plate on the column that prevents me from accessing the switch and electronics. I've tried using the box store plate puller kit and steering wheel puller to no avail. I've also tried putting the bolts back into the three holes (seen in the pic) but still didn't work. I always seem to just turn the wheels. I was just wondering if you guys had any experience or input on how to get this threaded plate off of the column. Any help would really be appreciated!
I don't think thats threaded at all. It's frozen, hit with some liquid wrench and a basic puller. If it still isn't moving, get the puller tight and trying popping it with a hammer. That doesn't work, time to get it hot.

Definitely not threaded, it will be a spline shaft.
Ended up using a three-way jaw puller and liquid wrench combo. Worked perfectly, need to re-install it today (properly) to make sure the steering wheel doesn't wobble, just threw it back on yesterday carelessly and its all shakey and wrong ...but thanks all for the help!
