I think I have met max MPG with my EX at 12 MPG. Drove from Largo to Miami Fl just over 300 miles. i have attached pixs as proof. Never thought I would get that much from the beast..

Eon
I average 11.2 daily driving and usually get 13 to 13.5 on 2 lanes at 75mph. But then again I'm at over 3000' elevation and not down at sea level...
Eon, What mods have you done to your EX? Larger tires.....? Tunes.....?
Do you drive like Russ (AlaskenEX)....?
My 4" lifted, with 35.28" tires tuned EX will still pull down 14 MPG on a pure highway run (at less than Russ speeds ), When it still had stock sized rubber and 3.73 gears I saw 15.75 MPG on a combined tank running around in coastal Maine. All of my MPG readings are hand calculated (the only way to be accurate) as my XLT EX doesn't have a Lie-O-Meter.
My '94 Metro is closing in on a 60 MPG tank currently! Last tank was 57.6 MPG.
It's interesting to me the spread of the MPG's these X's produce
The best I've ever personally seen was 13MPG driving a newly acquired stock 2000, V-10, 3.73's down to Texas from Ohio. That was 1 tank some were in the middle Most tanks came in around 11-12 MPG. Now home & in the normal routine I'm lucky to see over 10 MPG Still stock for now & don't do any city driving to speak of. This is basically no difference that a 2000, 6" lifted, 37" tired, 4.30 I own as well ( so the same driving & driver). These are hand figured over 35 gals or more. I am however, very impressed with the Lie-O-Meter, Normally it's only a few decimal points off.
Tom my 03 EX Eddie Bauer 4x4 is all stock with 123K miles on it. I drive it about once every 2 months when I pull our camper to go camping, no more than 200 Miles round trip. With camper I get 10MPG. Last week was the first time we drove it with out pulling camper in a very long time (700 Miles Round trip). .
10 MPG is pretty good for pulling that Jayco Jay Flight Swift, good job there on a nice looking combo! Crazy that it only gets 2 MPG better running solo.
I do around 13-13.5 interstate doing 75mph in my 2000, 4.30 gears and 285/75 16's. If I let the wife take over it's more like 12 at 80-85 mph, lol. On the highways here in Louisiana where the speed limit is 55-60, I can get up around 15, but I rarely keep it at 55 to do so...
I got 5.8 on my last tank, hand calculated. NYC driving, nothing in tow, just me and a bunch of tools. The lie-o-meter said 5.4. I haven't done a full tank of only highway yet.

I rented a Bentley last year to drive in the city, just will not drive my excursion on those crappy roads. Lol

Cool, how much did that cost? I have a Toyota Sequoia as my family car and it drives so much better on the bumpy roads. The front axle on the ex just twists and bottoms out way too much on the bigger bumbs. I need to upgrade the suspension. It has 200k on what looks to be the original leafs. But back to the topic of this thread, is there anything I can do to improve my city mileage (besides not racing to every red light)? My Sequoia gets about 8-9 but that is a smaller engine, 4.7 v8, not to mention the ex is nearly a ton heavier.

WOHLEE CRAP MAN, You did say DRIVING, not PARKED while running didn't you I get a little less than I should due to using it around the farm. Idling these V-10's is an astonishing thing to EXperience.
