ignition problem after warming up
My truck recently shut off randomly and would not restart until in cooled down. When this happend again, During this cool down process, i tested spark at the coil and it appeared to fire at every 180 degree interval of the distributor. Truck is currently pulling a code for pip sensor. Before i jump the gun on a new dirstributor, has anyone had this similar problem?

A new one or just replace the stator.
You may have the same problem if you get a rebuilt or remanufactured one.
I have never seen it fail yet, when you get the PIP code the PIP sensor is always bad.

Found the part and ordered it,thanks! Decided to tear down my distributor despite reading that its a pain to do. It was very simple!
You guys know of a place to purchase the shaft seals from? The spring seal, not the o ring.
