I'm also in the "Aspen green" boat and was at the local auto parts store a couple days ago trying to find a can of dupli-color.
Seems like that is the ONLY color they did not have.
My experiences with touch up products are so so. The exposure to the sun and other factors will make it difficult for 10-15 year old paint to match up 100%.
You can usually go to your local auto body paint supply and have them custom mix a spray can for you. My local place charges $20
I have used ford and duplicolor only for touch ups nothing bigger than a rock chip maybe 3-4cm big, with both of them i found that using them right and with some compound and maybe a lil wet sanding you can make them invisible to an untrained eye.
The clay bars work great to for blending the touch up with your factory paint

About the size, about right- no more, for me too.
As for the "compound, sanding, blend, clay" stuff...I tried BabelFish but that didn't help

I'm so far from knowing how to paint and the terms used are so foreign to me, not even BabelFish could translate it into something I can understand how to do
Remember, I was looking at paint that comes as a "magic marker" - about my speed, LOL!

ahhh gotcha, thought you were makin fun of me, wouldnt really care if ya did, it happens a lot, buttt, the clay bars are pretty easy to use tons of youtube videos, and they sale it in all parts stores. It mainly used for cleaning up clear coat scratches but iv used it on some touch ups that iv done on past vehicles and looked great, from about 2 ft or so but no matter what you do, up close you will be able to tell that the touch ups are there and thats why thery are touch ups tho. Im sure a body shop would make them be almost invisible even to the trained eye but it can be done with great results at home as well.

Making fun? No way, I thought what you describe sounded GREAT! Unfortunately paint isn't a friend of mine, LOL.
It might be worth talking to a painter buddy. He's a bit hard to find some times, but if I could get the result you mention, it would be worth it

yea if i still had my f150 i would be able to show some pics of what a semi pro painter can do with some paint pens and buffing. I had a longgggggggggggggggggggg scratch all the way down the driver side, looked nasty then he did some paint pen or small brush and paint and buffed it, after a couple hours you could only see it at curtain angles when the sun hit it just right and even then you had to look for it. But good luck.
