They might could... but I sure as heck wouldn't ask the seller since he's trying to sell them ya know?
Oh yeah! I wouldn't ask him. That's just a good price for some sandersons and it'd be nice if they would work well. There is a used pair and a brand new pair. Problem is, I'm stuck with em if they don't fit bc they don't accept returns... guess I could hold on to them for a future FE car
Another ol skool trick is a blast from the past is dry spray on graphite when prep good can stop rust for many yrs of time.
Ford even used a graphite grease on the exhaust manifold heat-shields as a sealer that is still available @ Amazon
Many guys called them gaskets tho. and just use what comes in a gasket set that all fail in a short time.
And with the high failure rate of exh. manifold gaskets many guys keep trying to find a exh. manifold gaskets that won't fail, all with out using locking washers/bolts.
Does anyone know if the stock 427 cast iron headers will fit a 4x4 truck? Bc I found a set and I'd like to have those if he's willing to let go of them for a decent price.

I rem ember a guy installed a pair some yrs back but needed to cut the frame notch for clearance issues.
But their is two different sizes, short & long tube and don't remember if the guy said or not..
I'm not willing to butcher up my frame just for headers. And going off road may crack them any way.

There is a manifold gasket that won't fail. Copper high temp RTV. Racers have been doing it for years. I had it on my BBF for probably 5 years with no problems. Throw the gaskets in the trash.
Haven't posted on this thread in a while, but anybody ever try olive oil on their headers? Same principle as ATF I suppose but I know we use it to cure cast iron skillets and maybe it'd work for headers too?
I let my Clifford Performance headers get a fine rust scale, and then sprayed them with rust converter which is nothing more than phosphoric acid 10% solution. It turns the rust black, and forms ferric iron, out of the ferrous iron. Stops the rust for awhile... but here in Baja, the local's say, that even plastic rusts...
I ended up getting the sanderson ff427 and doing ATF. looks good. Just curious though, the nub I guess on the end of my starter touches the headers. So I can't take it off without removing my passender header. And with it just touching that end piece, will it cook my starter?
I broth this up on HIO thread that their was no way in hell to remove them but he figured he could do it with only having the 1/8" of gap.
But I could hardly work a heat blanket between the starter bush end dome & the header pipe mini is. I advised many guys when going to Sanderson to get a mini starter but few took my word for it.
Back in the 60's 70's we did not have cheap like todays mini starter so co's did make some headers that would not trap the starter. But today no reason not to have one.
I think I paid $129 free shipping
