What is the oldest Ford that you have driven? I would say a modified or hot rodded car will count. Extra credit for and original vehicle.
Also, brownie points for the oldest you have ridden in that actually being driven, not just sitting.
My folks had a 1928 Model A coupe in the late '60s. It was an unrestored original car. I got to drive it on occasion and it would cruise nicely at 45-50 mph. It did not have the rumble seat.
I rode in a parade in the 70's with a friend in an unrestored and somewhat rough 1918 Model T.
Owned a 1920 Model T-- drove Saveral Model A's and T's- Most recently a 1941 business coupe. Its nice to have a dad thatores older vehicles) Oldest thing i have ever driven was my mom's grandmothers doctors buggy- it is 1 horse power-- and the exhaust will knock you right out. :-)
Oldest Ford I have ridden in was my father's 59 Ford Galaxie, but I helped work on an early 1900's car that an old man was driving up from Madison Kansas, to Randolph for his yearly visit with his girlfriend. I would say it was earlier than a model A, but I don't recall exactly what year. He was stalled out in front of Dominoes here in Manhattan. He wasn't getting fuel to the engine.
I owned both a 1929 and a 1931 Model A. I have driven my late uncle's 1914 Model T. Those three peddles are a hoot. I recently passed the '29 Cabriolet on to my son. The '31 coupe was my everyday driver - when I wasn't on my motorcycle.
Great to have old vehicles to drive. I've driven 48 Ford F600 years ago. Also my dad had a 56 F600 COE farm truck in the '60 and '70s. It was fun to drive. On tractors, I've driven a couple of early 50's.
