First tow report!

There it is, that big diesel grin everyone talks about! Truck was flawless, very smooth, and quiet, and comfortable. Total miles round trip was 761. Over a mountain pass, across the state, through rolling wheat fields, and into some foothills to camp. I'm guessing trailer was about 7300 lbs all loaded up, and tool box, plus quad in bed, maybe another 500 lbs. No sweat for the 6.7. I could cruise along at any speed I wanted. After we got over the pass I just put it in cruise and literally forgot the trailer was back there. Very relaxing trip. No more revving, and shifting back and forth like in the gasser. Averaged 11.6 MPG for the whole trip according to the trucks computer. Never even noticed the regens, but I could smell them occasionally.
Exhaust brake! OMG, this thing is AWESOME! I love it! Didn't have to ride the brakes at all! I used "M" on the shifter for down hills though. That way it doesn't shift down a gear if I tap the brake just a little. Works for me.
The truck had 1400 miles on it when I left, and I don't know where the DEF level was, but on the way home I checked the information screen, and it said I was less than 1/2. I had about 150 miles to get home, so I didn't worry about it.
If I'm forgetting anything, just ask, but it was pretty much just another "walk in the park" for the 6.7, in other words, ho hum for the truck, but exciting for me.
Pictures below, but first I want to ask your thoughts, and prayers. I have developed a health issue that will require surgery, and recovery time. It will unfortunately postpone our planned road trip to S. Dakota next month. It isn't life threatening, and will be taken care of, but kinda nerve wracking none the less. Thank You, Carl
Now the pics-

This is my Brother-in-laws property. 20 wooded acres with yurt, and solar power etc. Very nice spot in NE Washington state.

Our Chihuahua Missy on the trail. The old girl gets tired quickly, stops and begs for you to carry her LOL.

And a picture spot on the way home along the Columbia river. Unbelievable how far down the river/resevoir level is this year. It's going to be tough for the farmers.

I think just to generally get an estimation, when you see a 10° tilt on your info screen that translates roughly to a 5% road grade. I'm only talking about estimating the relationship, not coming up with the actual numbers and formula.

Prayers for a smooth surgery and uneventful recovery! Thanks for sharing.
