Last Thursday I had Ford garage update my 95(94.5) obd2, to a 96. Now I can connect and read data. Although, when running live data, the engine dies, and will restart. This only happens when connected. I big thing I noticed after upgrade, idle is nice and smooth.
Anyone else have the engine issue while connected with scanner?
You can't pull codes with the engine running to my knowledge. That is usually done with key on and engine off. You should be able to get real time info such as ICP and IPR duty cycle along with boost and injector pulse width.
Maybe with AE or scan gauge that can be done, but those who use those systems will have to speak to that. I use the Torque Pro app on my smart phone, and am happy with that for now.
