Lift questions

I've got a 79 f-150 with a Dana 44 front ford nine rear. I was told the cheapest and a decent way to lift the back end would be to find a parts truck and just take those blocks and stack them. I have coil springs up front and I'm not sure how I would get those to come up too? Has anyone done this? Leave your ideas any reply is good to me. I don't want a huge lift either just enough to fit 35's

Rule number two... Never stack block's... Ever... For any reason.

Rule number one is don't use them in front on leaf spring applications.

Both are illegal in many states, as they are really that unsafe.

To clear 35's, with no trimming, a 4" lift would be best. These can't be had for less than 500 dollars from many suppliers, Rough Country, Zone, Super lift, etc.

Rule #3... refer to rule #1 and 2. lol

Stacking blocks is a cheap way to lift the back end and a great way to tear stuff up. Yes just get a off the shelf 4" lift kit or system.

A lift System will provide you with complete new rear springs and not just another set of blocks to stack on back there. You will still use the factory one, but one it ok.

For the front you will need new coil springs and "c" bushings. Maybe new shocks, longer brake lines and maybe a drop pitman arm and a trac bar drop bracket or just an adjustable length trac bar.

I am not a 1/2 ton lift kit guru, but there are some on here that are.

Do it right, do it safe!
