The seller of this grille says he has a 65 grille NOS still in the box.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Ford-F100-Front-Grille-unit-Original-Used-Ford-Part-/131521865801?hash=item1e9f506849&vxp=mtr Asking price $2000.00 I know NOS grilles are hard to come by and it may seam like a lot of money, but when was the last time anyone saw a 65 grille that was NOS? Just thought I would share this information. I wish I had the NOS 65 grille.
Asking price $2000.00. I know NOS grilles are hard to come by....
Robert, the grille pictured in the ad is used .. not NOS .. Seller says he also has a NOS grille, wants 2 grand for it, but this ain't it.
I know an FTE member (in WA) who does have a NOS 1965 anodized aluminum grille (C5TZ-8200-B) for sale, you know him too. It's not this ebay seller, as he lives in VA

I know the one in the listing is used, I mentioned he claims to have one for $2000.00 You'll need to read everything I posted.
We had every bit of the original trim including the grill on the '66 Custom Cab restored (stripped, straightened, buffed, and anodized) for $3,000. It came out way better than any NOS trim I've ever seen. It would be way cheaper to buy a nice used grill and have it restored.
Astronaut. Now that I've spent a ton of time and money scrounging up the exterior trim on not only a '66 Impala we're doing, but also a long bed '77 F-250, where is this place you got the trim restored? Nobody I could find within 700 miles would touch my stuff.

We used King of Trim, TA455HO posted a link to their website. We were impressed with their quality of work and the turnaround time was reasonable for the amount of work involved.
Funeral homes, especially in small rural towns, are good places to look for obsolete parts. Since they're so far away from major cities, they stock lots of parts for their vehicles.
In 1979, I bought a pair of NOS Packard cast iron V12 cylinder heads from a home in Arcata CA, paid 400 bucks for them, flipped them a week later for 5 grand.

Right on, thanks. Just a tad outside my search radius. Both of the mentioned vehicles have been dealt with, but I'm saving the link for next time.
I soooo prefer stainless trim we can work ourselves.
I did read it, you made no mention that the grille pictured in the ad is used.
Bill I'm really surprised you think I thought that grille was the NOS one.
I've been restoring grilles for over 8 years, I currently have an NOS 1969 Ranger grille set up. Complete. I've done over 400 grilles, why is it only you thought I meant the ebay listing was the NOS one? Is it that you like ripping into my posts? Do you think so little of my knowledge about grilles? I've taken grilles that most would throw away and made them into show quality grilles. I do believe I have earned the respect of anyone who has seen my grilles to know, I do know what I'm talking about.
I know you never apologize, we've gone through this numerous times, I know what I wrote and I know you know what I meant. So we'll leave it at that.
