Is it that you like ripping into my posts? Do you think so little of my knowledge about grilles? I've taken grilles that most would throw away and made them into show quality grilles. I do believe I have earned the respect of anyone who has seen my grilles to know, I do know what I'm talking about.
I know you never apologize, we've gone through this numerous times, I know what I wrote and I know you know what I meant. So we'll leave it at that.
Geez Louise, you're making a mountain out of a mole hole. I did not say that you thought the grille in the pics was NOS, all I said was, you didn't mention that it was used.

I did not rip your post and am well aware you have the '69 NOS grille, cuz not only did I read the thread where you acquired it, but...

You called me several days ago inre to NOS headlamp retainer rings you wanted.

And, inre to apologizing, I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong.

Great thread. I'm s l o w l y restoring my '65, and I didn't know the grilles were hard to find. I guess I'll be restoring my "slightly dented" original.

Thanks

For what's it worth, I followed you just fine. You said "the seller of this grille..." and posted the link which I thought made it obvious you were just pointing out the seller of the used one also had made mention of an NOS grille...Bill probably just looked past that opening part of your post...

That's Bill, he see's what he want's to see, then tries to make you feel bad about it. In his one post he say's "You called me several days ago inre to NOS headlamp retainer rings you wanted."
He told me to call him, it still took me several days to call him. Why?
because he makes it look like I could not get everything on my own.
That's Bill, If he does do something for you, you will be reminded every chance he gets. He'll also tell everyone that he got the parts you needed or you couldn't have done it without his help.
I respect him very much, I just get tired of his $&!t.

10 years ago I bought a 1965 F100 NOS grille from Ebay and paid $2000 for it. My came with the original box and wasn't mint but in excellent condition. All NOS grilles still inside the box will have some self wear (minor scratches) most of the time. Since I purchased mine in 2005, I have only seen one other NOS 1965 grille but it did not have the box on Ebay and if I remeber it sold for $2500+. So $2000 is a good price because they are hard to come by but a picture is worth a 1000 words... so the question is why doesn't he have the NOS grille listed for auction? Major self wear maybe, no box or bait and switch???? Hard to say because he has a few other NOS parts listed. Maybe some one should message him and ask for him to email pictures.

Hello everyone, Great thread, I must say I have the utmost respect for ND and Gangstakr. I've got two 65 grilles from Robert and have been completly satisfied. I'd much rather receive a grille restored and crated up by Robert himself than any nos one from someone I didn't know. Robert you need to put a little signature stamp into every grille you restore. A nos grille would be great for an original truck but for a restored truck I'd rather have a restored grille, just my opinion. Thanks Bill and Robert for being straightforward and for your dedication to the hobby. Bill
