Def Question, miles to empty

You should be getting plenty of warning though before running out. I suspect because of not being full in the first place it was a big confused.


I use the ford fill spout. It will work on most any of the refill jugs. I just rinse it and put it in a Ziploc for reuse.

This was not a first fill issue, I have filled the def tank 5 times since I have owed the truck. I buy def from Love's at the pump.

I just raised the question because I too thought you had plenty of warning before going empty and in this case I did as I was close to home where def availability is plentiful. However, it may not be the case while on the road traveling in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, So I carry 5 gals with me when on the road for that very reason.


I can get about 4900 miles off of the 5 gals so you know as you are getting closer but things change so I carry it with me.
